A trip to Milan would never have been complete without one or two (or three.. or four) visits to Sephora and KIKO. I did my bank account a favour and managed to keep my Sephora purchasing impressively restrained and left with the one product I was determined to get my hands on - their Cream Lip Stain. Get the low down here.

Suffice to say my KIKO basket saw considerably more action. Read on for deets.

First I grabbed City Filter - an SPF 50 primer (with a pump dispenser, hurrah!) which blends in to leave a slightly tacky finish perfect for slapping your base on. Top draw priming and protection action rolled up into one product. My next pick was a Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow in the shade 39, a deliciously deep cool bronze. These do what they say on the tin - zero budging until you go in with your makeup remover come bedtime. I also grabbed their Full Coverage Concealer in the shade 01 Light - basically a perfect dupe for MAC's Studio Finish Concealer. Win. The Smart Lip Pencil in the shade 705 was an unplanned grab that ended nicely as it boasts creamy, bold colour payoff, is the perfect match for my Sephora lip stain and racks up at a tiny teeny £2.50.

Finally, a duty free panic moment (we've all been there) led me to the purchase of a PUPA Luminous Effect Baked Blush in the shade 203, a soft pink with gold undertones. Pretty, but nothing to write home about, and honestly the tacky packaging has me in full regret mode.

Have you had any hits (or misses!) from your oversees beauty sprees?
