So, it turns out that I'm in a very serious relationship with The Body Shop.

I seriously can't get enough of this brand. Their bath and body stuff is (obv.) on point but it's the skincare and make up that you need to make sure you're up to speed with. They've also started going a bit mad with offers lately (ALMOST too much if you ask me - there's only so many emails a girl can get before becoming a little desensitised you know?) and you're more than likely going to grab some discount or pick up a free gift with your purchase. Who doesn't love a freebie, eh?

A few weeks back I went to a blogger event at my local store and left with a giant pile of stuff because, you know, I have zero restraint. These are the bits that outperformed the bunch and have risen up the ranks in my stash..

The Vitamin C Glow Boosting Moisturiser is a shiny new addition to their Vitamin C line up that's designed for dull, tired and grumpy skin. First, can we just talk about the packaging? It looks (and feels) kinda fancy but it still has a fun vibe and I'm just really feeling it. Formula-wise it definitely skews more gel-like than cream and it has a zesty kick that makes it feel super fresh as well as delivering on hydration. Though I've never actually bought it, I had an inkling it would be a pretty good dupe for  the Origins GinZing moisturiser so I headed into Boots to try it out and the two seem very similar but this is £7 cheaper for the same amount. The only thing lacking here for me is SPF but as I use a primer that brings that to the table anyway so it doesn't bother me too much.

Okay so this one started completely aesthetically. The Fijan Water Lotus range has the most beautiful packaging, evs. Initially I wasn't even fussed on formula - I just needed something from the range to bring some blue and white action to my dressing table. I grabbed the fragrance mist because I didn't fancy committing to a perfume but now I've had some time to give it some spritzing action I'm really into it. It's light and delicate and I'm forever spritzing it all over the place to bring a summer vibe to my room.

You know how I mentioned those deals earlier? Well whilst I was wiping the shelves clean with my purchases, they were offering a free gift if you spent over £25 and that free gift was the Mango Body Sorbet, Beautifying Oil and Lip Butter. YUP, all three. Free! And you know products included as free gifts are normally kind of pants? Well these are all awesome. The sorbet is a basically a body moisturiser that has a frosty gel type texture (can you tell it's hard to describe?) that melts straight into the skin and feels super moisturising but doesn't hang around and make it tough to pull on your jeans. The. Best. Thing. The oil is multipurpose and can be slapped onto the body, face or hair to moisturise and leave everything looking sheeny and lovely. And who doesn't love a lip butter? If you're into mango, all three have the most deliciously deep mango scent.

Last up is my kinda-indulgent purchase. The Drops of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask is a little pricier than their usual stuff and has a ton of science-y stuff behind it, but all you really need to know is that it is a-m-a-z-i-n-g. It's basically a gel-like mask that you slap on before you go to bed. It has the weirdest texture - it's literally bouncy. It comes with a little spatular that you use to scoop up a tiny bit then you soften it between your fingers and give yourself a mini facial using this handy guide. It feels a little sticky at first but quickly sinks in, and the next day your skin feels all bouncy and wonderful like it's had the biggest drink. This stuff is honestly great, and hey, if it's good enough for skincare goddess Caroline Hirons it's good enough for anyone.

A big sloppy kiss thank you to The Body Shop for putting on such a smashing event (there was skin care consultations, makeovers and, most importantly, a chocolate fountain) and for consistently bringing out awesome new things for me to get giddy over. My bank account may hate you, but I love ya.
